I worked with Ashley in Home Office Legal Advisers who was in my team. He was immediately welcoming to me as a new advisory lawyer as well as being very collabrative to work with and I remember him taking time to patiently show me the ropes on a few things even though it wasn’t strictly his area. He had a rare combination of being great at his job, kind, mild-mannered and also incredibly good fun! I was so sad to learn that he passed away and I am thinking of his family and friends at this difficult time.
