Jenny, Catherine, Simon and families, please accept my heartfelt sympathy at this very sad time. As you will be aware I had the privilege of working closely with George in a range of activities and organisations over a period of 55 years and more. He was a man of great stature in both national and international education, to which he contributed massively from the knowledge, skills and understanding he developed and shared with others, over his lifetime. I personally learned so much from our work together and I will miss learning more from an outstanding colleague and dear friend.
