I’m not sure anything I write here will do justice to Darren and the influence he had on me personally and everyone in Sainsbury’s. Darren was the best leader i’ve ever worked for, he had a human element unlike any other where he would drive me to be the best I can be everyday but always in a way in which I just wanted to always deliver the best for him. His knowledge of this business was unimaginable and I already am feeling lost without being able to pick the phone up or pop into Heyford Hill to ask him something that I know he would of known the answer to. Darren cared so much for everyone in our team, he made everyone feel special and he was just an all round great bloke. His wicked sense of humour had me in bits on many occasions, and I loved having a catch up over a brew. I know how much he loved and cherished his family and he would always talk with great pride about what his children were up to outside of work. A true legend, miss you boss.
