Getting the opportunity to work with Andy was a blessing and a privilege. With his calm demeanour, unrivalled property expertise and knowledge of seemingly every property account written over the past 40 years he had it all. ‘Ahh xxx, I wrote that one back in 1995, watch out for the panels’ you would hear him say! With Macca on your side you felt 10 feet tall going into any negotiations. He always had time for anyone and everyone. Each time we met he would greet me with a handshake Mike Tyson would have been proud of! He had a wicked sense of humour and you knew you would have a good laugh in his company. A colleague and a friend who will be dearly missed. I will hold Andy high in my thoughts for a very long time and take small comfort from knowing that his legacy lives on across the 100’s of underwriters who’s lives he enriched. RIP Macca. My heartfelt sympathies to his family and friends.
