To Jo, Grace and Rosie,
Rarely has anyone whom I’ve met only a few times made such an impression as Jon did. His technical acumen was unmatched, and we all relied upon him for all the day-to-day challenges we face in the field. On a personal side, we began to exchange clever emails designed to make each other smile, and when we caught up in person we laughed heartily.
Reading comments from those who knew him well confirms what a humble, decent, caring man that Jon was. I wish all of you peace as time passes and that you are comforted by your memories of Jon. Know that he had an outsized impact on his colleagues–even on those who barely knew him–and that he will be sorely missed by all of us.
