It was only a few years ago that I met David, one of a few partners that Jamie introduced me to before I joined EY. I instantly liked him – he was kind, funny and he asked great questions that I hadn’t thought about – solely to help me make what then was a very tough career decision – and that was the first time he met me! Over the last year I was so lucky to work with him more closely and all of my first impressions were confirmed. He had an ability to give all of his attention to anyone he was talking to, to notice when someone may be in need of support – even if they may not know it, and make you feel like he had your back (because he did). It will be really difficult moving forward without him but we are all the better for having worked with him and I will always be grateful having had him as a mentor and a leader. He will be missed.
