I first met Olivia, or Belz as I liked to call her, 11 years ago when I was heavily pregnant with Paige.
Andy and I were recruiting for my maternity cover. We had 3 candidates on the day, Olivia, a horse whisperer and another lady (who really didn’t want to be there). Andy and I quickly realised that Olivia was by far the best candidate, so much so we offered her a job the same day. The position wasn’t to cover my maternity leave, it was a full time position in the newly formed Org Ex team. We knew from the moment we met her how good she was / going to be.
From that point on, we became more than just colleagues, we became firm friends. We’ve enjoyed so many times together (too many to list here, i’ll take up all the messages with just the photos), from work, to nights out, to Christmas Parties, and her wedding. I especially loved the birthday cakes she used to make me, the last one during covid when we were allowed to mix outside. For my birthday that year, I put up a tent in the garden and had some of the gang over. Olivia brought this stunning 4 tiered chocolate cake, it was a complete suprise, which was Olivia all over, always thinking of others. I must say though I was a little upset that she didn’t drink that day, as I have known Olivia to like a tipple or two. Turns out there was a reason for the no drinking, she was pregnant with Mollie.
Olivia was the best of us all. I miss my friend deeply x
