Donald, Ormond Road, Tuesday

Rupert always had a very positive attitude and would look out to help other people any time he could. He did an incredible amount of service in AA.

He called me regularly over the past 22 years and whenever any problem he had was discussed the call would end in gratitude and a positive way forward.

I would look forward to his calls and will miss him dearly.

At meetings he often quoted from the Works of William Shakespeare. The following quote from Romeo and Juliet is an excellent way in which to remember my friend Rupert;

“When he shall die,

Take him and cut him out in little stars

And he will make the face of heaven so fine

That all the world will be in love with night

And pay no worship to the garish sun”
