Hearing of Bimpe’s passing was such a shock. Although I only met her a couple of times in person, what stayed with me was her incredible joy and energy. I remember an elevator ride in Turner House where she had me laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes—though I wish I could recall what she said that made me laugh that hard. It is evident from the many tributes written that this short glimpse I got to witness was only the tip of the iceberg. Bimpe was funny, warm and intelligent, and she will be missed by so many. My heartfelt condolences to her family and loved ones.
