Gus was a name that I knew from years back however my first time meeting with him was when he did some of my training when I returned to Virgin in 2017, he made me feel like I had never left, his passion for training was as strong as his enthusiasm for conspiracy theories.
However it was in June 2020 that Gus really made his mark for myself and many of my fellow colleagues/friends by throwing us a lifeline at a time when we needed it most, he called me one evening asking what I was up to and talked about this cargo company called Longtail and the rest as they say is history.
On a personal note, I owe Gus a lot more than the above and that is something that I shall never forget.
To Sarah, Hamish, Fergus, Finlay and Flora, I offer you my sincerest condolences but I hope that you find some small comfort in reading all the messages about what a special man Gus was…
