When I first got the email on a Thursday morning that Ryan had passed, I couldn’t believe it, I had to read the email no less than three times, having spoken to Ryan very recently and quite regularly over the past few months.
Being part of Tripadvisor; I knew Ryan through work, albeit very recently owing to working on our new London office project; although I would certainly call him a colleague. His infectious jovial attitude (which paired so so well with his accent!), can do/Get the job done attitude, huge knowledge of the trades and construction sector; he was a joy to work with. I had every confidence in him and his ability to lead a team, I was very much looking forward to getting the project over the line.
But he had a very sensitive and personal side to him as well, always asking after my health (we shared skeletal issues) and my daughter. This news has hit hard, as I know it has hit everyone working on the project in the same way, a testament to his character.
