I was at school with Ann over 40 years ago, but she made such a wonderful impression on me that the memories of the times we spent together fill me with joy to this day. Ann was admired by all, not only for her academic ability and talent in anything she undertook, but above all for her kindness, friendliness and approachable manner. She was always there to lend an ear if there was a problem, or to share a bit of gossip and have a laugh. I know that her loss to her family and frineds will be considerable and I send my heartfelt condolences.
