I have known and worked with Jill for many years at GDS, though we were never in the same team until I joined Digital Identity. However, Jill was a big part of the GDS Wellbeing network, an active mental health first aider, and a key contributor to making GDS a better place to work.
Jill was a force of nature; a whirlwind of energy, full of laughter, boldness, and determination. She had a remarkable ability to cut through the noise, make decisions, and get things done. Having Jill on your side was always a blessing, you were on the winning team.
Jill approached everything with a mix of sheer willpower and genuine care for her friends and colleagues. She loved her team, was incredibly supportive, and truly cared for those around her. Her deep knowledge and unwavering kindness were her greatest strengths, and she always offered her help and support unconditionally.
I still walk past her desk, waiting to tell her about the latest episode with my daughters or hearing about her grandchildren and holiday plans. It is hard to believe she has gone.
Jill has left a lasting mark on all of us – a Jill-shaped hole in our hearts that can never be filled. Her kindness, strength, and spirit will never be forgotten.
