Hugh Mc Kay and family

James , where do I begin ? To me you where Mr “ Tir na Na og “ or “Mr Gaa “, I got back involved in coaching about 5-6 years ago , taking underage camogie , underage hurling , then back playing junior / reserve hurling , all because of one person ….

You have coached , me and all my kids in the past , and never did I or my kids not “ enjoy “ any of the sessions , a fantastic coach , a brilliant guy to be around , serious at times , but fun overall ….. 5 years ago we talked about implementing a coaching plan , that would take time , you said , you had a three – five year plan in your head , Within 5 years the senior hurlers have won their first ever intermediate championship

Everyone , who knew you , is totally devastated, for their own reasons but for us , I can narrow it down to three ,
taken far to soon ( to young ) …,
You had some more to give ….
You will never know how much , you have given , to all ages , at various clubs
Rest in Peace “ Mr Gaa”
