Dear family, friends and colleagues of Barbara,
I believe it is unusual to see a supplier here. This is how special Barbara was. She was part of our MOD team, a true subject matter expert, a real team player, fun to be with and to work with, open minded to new ideas, and above all a kind and caring person flavoured with smiling eyes.
The VIRTUS project was a life changing event for all of us here in SOURCE and I believe also for the Delivery Team who initiated this program. Barbara was key in the making of a concept into reality. We greatly enjoyed building a relationship with her, and watching her blossom and become a senior member of the team. For us, Barbara was there not only when the requirements were written, she was there in the user trials, she was there in the fielding and training of the troops, bringing her expertise and humour and to the fore.
I, and my team, had many good hours with Barbara in the UK, in Israel and in 3 continents auditing our supply chain. I was personally working closely with Barbara in the last few months preparing the VIRTUS Technical Data Packs. The last time we talked was two days before she left for her New Year Holiday. For the next 3 months, my Calendar on Tuesdays at 1100hrs is booked for our weekly meetings, it will be difficult to engage every Tuesday with the emptiness of her absence.
I really like this picture of Barbara and I taken in the CDR meeting held June 2015 in Israel. The picture represents the sincere & deep commitment we were all sharing for the success of this program. I am proud to have known and worked with Barbara and all at Source will miss her, as we know you all will too. Please accept my heartfelt condolences.
