For a few years I lived a couple of streets away from Don, so we would often walk the same route home from King’s Manor. I would regularly see him ahead of me, foraging for blackberries from the brambles that grew along the railway line. Don was a lovely person to work with – always kind, good humoured and a real gentleman.
