Maxine Marie James

Sincerely loved you Maxine…your sassyness, always telling me to Boss and believe in myself. Our very rare late night conversations, discussing matters of concerns within our community & wider society.

You genuinely cared about many and always was there to advice me or just listen. I loved when you’d cuss during some long winded meetings and bring all of us back to the centre of the matter! You were strong, beautiful, tenacious and more than just LP pal but a sister who was always there for others.

Fond memories of us at Brighton Conference, when the pizza restaurant staff, said they had no more seats, you managed to use your charm and royal presence and in 5mins, we were seated.

I will treasure our times together and continue to follow your example, by championing fairness, justice and equity. I’ll see you again in heaven, rest in peace my dearest Maxine…solidarity always to a Legend, gone too soon! Blessx 🌹my Councillorship is dedicated to members like you…I’ll continue to try my best to make us both proud my pal! Missing you beau.
