We miss you dearly Vantil
I miss Vantil. Capital and the London office will never quite be the same without him.
Vantil has always been a huge support for me and everyone he met. Putting others before himself without asking for anything in return. He was always smiling. It was contagious and you found yourself smiling back even when things were tough. I loved hearing his stories about how he immigrated to the UK and his 18 day journey on a ship to get here. Investment Group lunches with Vantil were always entertaining whether the discussion was around companies, family or life in general. He was incredibly proud of his sons and that shone through regularly.
Lots of mentions on Vantil’s incredible style… I remember a couple of times walking behind him on the way from the station to the office and he’d be in his long green coat, spectacular shoes and hat and everyone walking past him in the opposite direction would literally turn and do a double take as Vantil strutted his stuff in the way only he could. We shared a laugh about this and many other things in our office, corridor and breakroom conversations.
Vantil is one of the kindest and most genuine people I had the honour of knowing. I don’t recall ever having a “bad day” working with him and time and time again recall others saying the same. The office simply won’t be the same without him there. I feel honoured to have had the opportunity to work with Vantil for the few years that I did. I’ll miss seeing his lovely fruit and breakfast creations in the mornings and his smiling face. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. I know he was incredibly proud of you all. He is in my thoughts and prayers and will continue to be for a long time. I join the many others feeling the pain of losing him too early. My deepest condolences to Lilian, Oliver and Cameron.
