Pete Winfield

I met Pete when I join Satchwell in 1990, he’d started a year or so earlier and he took me under his wing. He was a great engineer who had a passion for controls and helped me loads during the first few years at Satchwell, and we became close friends, his fantasic personality was infectious and made the days fly by. He was a great family man, loved Janet and was so pround of Danny and Carrie.

I will always remember his red pimped up Rover, the programmable points (Yorkshire engineers will know what I mean) and the wardrobe doors he opened with the ARX actuators.

The world has just lost a wonderful man, RIP big man.

Tony Wright
