Ian Findlay CBE
To say we’re devastated about the sudden passing of our Convenor, and more importantly friend, Ian is an understatement and it doesn’t feel like anything we write here will do it or him justice.
As anyone who was lucky enough to know him can attest, Ian embodied the characteristics we so desperately need from our leaders; a positive influence for change, who brought up everyone around him, exuding passion, kindness and compassion everywhere he went. He will be profoundly missed by so many and we want to extend our deepest sympathies to his wife Andrea, daughter Lianne, granddaughter Phoebe, and all of his family, friends and colleagues.
Ian, thank you for everything you’ve done for the team, the wider ACOSVO family, and the sector in general. You lived the connection part of what we do, always willing to help and share however you could. Everyone could benefit from being a bit more like you and we have all missed out by not having you in our lives longer.
A leader in the truest sense of the word. We’re grateful to have known you.
– Team ACOSVO & Board
