Brandusa Tataru-Marinescu
Dear Horia, Kara and Luca, I am so sorry for your loss and my thoughts and prayers are with you. Brandusa was an amazing person, much loved and much missed by all of us at KN. I have many memories of Brandusa, but the memory that dominates is that she was such a joyful, exuberant presence, full of energy and optimism. I remember at our last firm Christmas party, Brandusa whirling around the dance floor, throwing herself into that moment. The photo that I have attached is of Brandusa at our Business Services Group party in the Autumn of 2019, sent to me by a friend from the Women in Property Group where Brandusa was such an important role model. It is a lovely photo which captures Brandusa’s beauty and open, friendly approach. She spent that whole evening greeting people, making them feel welcome, making new contacts. Brandusa built up the construction team from scratch and secured some notable new instructions. The team is part of her legacy here at KN, as is the lasting impact of her work on D&I, in particular helping to establish the BAME Group, and being an important part of other groups such as being an LGBTQ+ ally. In happier times Horia, you and Brandusa came round for dinner one summer evening, with others from the firm, and I will treasure that memory. Brandusa is an important part of our story at KN, and the Brandusa Tataru- Marinescu Award for Diversity & Inclusion will help keep vibrant the work that she began. With all good wishes, Stephen.
