I worked with Dr Miguel on the National Codex Committee’s Secretariat between 2020 and 2021.

We worked remotely mostly, but we bonded over the long nights and weekends we spent planning events, and vetting correspondences for World Food Safety Day. 

She was always full of energy, pleasant and patient under pressure. Even after her assignment in Surinam, we kept in touch. 

She was a true friend and a woman of God. 

Rest in peace my friend, you have run the course, kept the faith and completed your assignment with honor.
