I would like to extend my deepest condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Markku. When Markku joined EUCAP Somalia, I was already approaching my end of mission but I had the pleasure of working with him on a couple of occasions and I remember him as a kind, helpful and devoted expert who was easy to work with. My thoughts and prayers are with Markku’s nearest and dearest.
