Mark

It’s with a heavy heart that I write this message of condolence to Jacqueline and family.

Mark was one of life’s true gents. The first time I met Mark was in 2015 when I interviewed him for a Service Engineer role at Euro-Diesel (latterly Kinolt and now Rolls-Royce Solutions). He’d come highly recommended by colleagues and customers alike whilst working for one of our competitors.

First impressions count for me. I warmed to Mark instantly with his genuine, friendly, down-to-earth, what you see is what you get character and approach to life. Needless to say, he made a great lasting impression, joining the team shortly afterwards at the beginning of 2016.

Mark very quickly became one of the team as though he’d been with us for years, making friends easily and demonstrating his great techical ability and experience. Mark was always happy to help anyone, share his knowledge and would regularly go above and beyond putting in long shifts to return yet another DRUPS back into service. He’s also be the first enjoying a laugh and a beer or three back at the hotel with his colleagues after a long day on the job.

Mark’s passing will leave a huge gap for all of us that had the honour and pleasure to have known him as a friend and colleague.
