Jerry H.T. Liu
Peggy, Vicky, Mabel, and Marinda,
Please accept my deepest condolences over your dad’s passing. He will be missed by you and many others.
I was lucky enough to meet Peg at UMass and am still so thankful to have her friendship after all these years. Along with her friendship, I was blessed to meet your dad. I have such great memories of his visits to Amherst. Jerry was one of a kind and one of the kindest men I’ve ever met. He didn’t worry about the number of friends Peg invited along to meals, visits to Boston, or any other activity. It was always “the more the merrier”. He was happy to spend time with Peg and her friends. I will always treasure the time that he spent with our group. He truly enjoyed us and we loved him. Visits with Jerry always involved food, drinks and a LOT of laughter.
Your dad also met my parents during one of his visits. I know that they both enjoyed meeting him and talking with him. They both felt Jerry was so genuine.
Jerry may be gone from this earth, but I believe he lives on in your memories and those of the many people he impacted through is kindness and generosity.
