Russell Tewkesbury

Sent by Peter to all D4t4 Solutions employees soon after Russell’s passing:

Dear all,

It is with great sadness that I have to inform you that Russell Tewkesbury passed away on Friday evening. Russell had been bravely battling with cancer for some time.

Russell joined D4t4 in 1993 and worked with us until he joined Celebrus in 2008. As you know we acquired Celebrus in 2015 and he rejoined our company at that time.

He was a truly gentle man, much respected and admired by colleagues, partners and customers.

He was a dedicated family man and an incredibly diligent and hard-working member of the D4t4 family and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Simon Burton who worked very closely with Russell for the last 14 years wrote the following note.

“With long days on the job, and often weeks of global travel, colleagues often become like a second family. Having worked with Russell for many years, this has never been more true for me. Therefore, having to tell you that he finally lost his fight with cancer, and his passing this weekend as a result, is probably one of the saddest things I am ever likely to do.

Over the years of working with Russell it has been a privilege to watch his development from a conscientious and enthusiastic DEC field engineer back in the early 90’s, to becoming the commercial lead for Celebrus, where to many of our global partners and clients he was the face of Celebrus. All who interacted with him have, from time to time, communicated to his colleagues and me their appreciation for his dedication, professionalism and friendly demeanour.

Nothing was ever too much trouble for Russell and his commitment to the company and his colleagues has set him apart for his entire career at D4t4 and Celebrus. It should be noted that Russell contributed much to the development of both D4t4 and Celebrus as he generously gave us his knowledge, his expertise and his skills – often going above and beyond the call of duty which sums up his entire attitude to the Company and his role, which he loved.

He was passionate about improving our product and sales processes and his attention to detail ensured that many of us were very happy to leave these tasks in his capable hands. He was keen to innovate when it came to our partners and how they engage with us. He initiated many go-to-market programs that highlighted our capabilities and, in turn, ensured that our partners were able to achieve their revenue goals.”

Our thoughts are with Russell’s wife Nickie and their children Charlotte and Sam.
