Folashade Aduke Telewa

I have been meaning to write something but it has been so hard. I was heartbroken on that Wednesday morning, the 1st day of March, 2023 when I received the call that our dear Sister and friend – Sister Folashade Telewa passed away. I was privileged to speak with her for few minutes 5 days before her demise. I, in fact, called her, but there was no response. She later called me back. She was so much concerned about the doing of Jehovah’s will all throughout our brief conversation. What can I say? Losing a mother like yours is one of the deepest sorrows a heart can know.  My heart goes out you children – Loyal, Henry and Femi, Funmi Adeyemo and the entire family for the irreparable loss of your wonderful Mother, Aunt and Grandmother. Please accept my deepest condolences. The loss of a mother like yours is such a great loss that can’t be filled by others. Your mother was a very caring and smart lady who always inspired people. It is really hard to bear the loss of someone so dear like your mother. You had the best mother.  She put up a good fight to the end. Your mum was very spiritual and courageous. I can only imagine the pain you are feeling. I know you children and family members will be hurting for some time, but you can take comfort in the fact that her suffering and pains are over. She is resting in Jehovah’s memory awaiting when she will hear the voice of Jesus Christ say: “Folashade come on out.” (John 5:28). Till then, let us continue to rely on Jehovah, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trials – (2 Corinthians 2: 3,4).  My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Our dear Sister,  Shade will be sorely missed!!!
