I was shocked and saddened to learn of the passing of Chris Malkin. Chris and I worked for nearly a decade on Police fleet procurement and I always had the utmost respect and appreciation for his professionalism and dedication to NAPFM and the achievement of a better Police fleet. Chris’s dedication to the task in hand could be relied on to produce results and our dealings with CCS over their ideas of how to run a fleet and procure saw us work as a finely tuned machine. The world of Police has lost a true professional and a great deal of knowledge. I myself will remember him for his work ethic and his gentle jibes at us civil servant mandarins. In reality we worked together and as a team. The truth is the loss will affect us all and I wish him all the best in his peace.
