During my time at IOP Publishing, I have many fond memories of working with Dens. She was incredibly devoted to the success of Physics World and all the magazines at IOPP, ensuring the highest editorial standards. Dens was a champion of the design studio, and I was fortunate to learn from her expertise on several projects.

One memorable event was attending ‘The Drum Online Media Awards’ ceremony in London together back in 2016. It was a glitzy black tie affair in a central London hotel, and we were surrounded by unfamiliar faces. Dens was a fantastic companion and lots of fun, effortlessly engaging in interesting conversations with the journalists seated at our table. Her pride in representing IOPP while accepting the award on stage shone through.

Dens was an integral part of IOPP, and I know her loss will be deeply felt by all that knew her. My heartfelt condolences go out to Ewan and all of Dens’ friends and colleagues during this difficult time.
