S A Vanar (1951-2021)

I have known Vanar for many years when I was a partner at KPMG Singapore.  I kept in touch after I retired from KPMG Singapore in 2003 and as recently as December 2020, had received an e-Christmas card from him.  He was a true gentlemean and professional and believed in maintaining friendships made over the years both in professional and social life.  When my wife and I had dinner with him and Chardra a few years ago in Kuala Lumpur, he was already wearing an oxygen breathing device.  This however, did not stop him from being his usual self.  He treated the device as an accesorry, did not complain about it and just carried on as normal as he could.  That is the Vanar I know.  Rest in peace Vanar.
