Doreen Keane

When I first joined Anchor, Doreen told me she was like the stick of rock

at Anchor and had been here from the start, she also said that Anchor was

part of her family, and it goes right through her bones.

I could see that Doreen loved her work here as she made life at work a family,

listening and caring for everyone.

I know she loved Peter, she adored her children and grandchildren, yes

she would get frustrated at times, and we laughed when I could hear her

grumble on the phone, but she showed me that family was very special.

Doreen was full of love and compassion she never thought of herself only that

of others all the time.

Hello, norms, how are you today, shall we pray, Doreen would say.

I soon learned “Doreen, that I am better for knowing you, better for loving you,

better for having met you. May you be as blessed in the next life, my friend,

as I was in this one by knowing you”.

What can one say…I miss you, special lady.

God Bless xx
