Elaine was much loved and is sorely missed.  As well as being incredibly professional and hardworking she was fun to work with and i will most remember her for her sense of humour.  I always relished the days when i managed to sit next to Elaine in the office and the times when she would put me in my place with a sharp retort or piece of wit.  Occaisionally she came out with amazing stories of her life pre-NHS which had us all listening attentively in shock, laughter and amazement.

Upon Elaine’s recommendation i obtained some window shutters from the same fitter who installed hers.  Since the sad news, i have been thinking of Elaine on mornings i have opened the shutters and felt the sunlight flooding in.
