My dearest David. To describe you as my best friend seems like such a massive understatement!  You have been my absolute rock for 30 years. You supported me through some of the hardest times of my life and gave me strength and courage to face adversity with dignity. You were my shoulder to cry on, my confidant and my guide. We could laugh about things that weren’t even funny and laugh even more at things that were definitely funny … like Eileen’s suitcase landing on your head when we sneaked her into our apartment in Gran Canaria!!  Every word I want to use to describe you needs a grander replacement… you were beyond selfless, beyond loving, beyond loyal and beyond passionate in everything you did. I am broken into a million pieces inside without you here my dearest dearest friend. I will miss you beyond comprehension but I will stay strong for those you loved and I will look after Olly as I always promised you I would. You will always be the brightest of stars wherever you are. Be at peace my wonderful lifelong friend. I love you forever. Pooky xx
