I remember Robin with much affection. In the 1980’s and 90’s he regularly led Jewish groups on tours of Central Europe and I was very proud of being one of those selected to accompany him with my late wife Esmé to Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Belarus where was a fountain of knowledge on the history of the former Jewish Communities in these areas. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him and my sympathies and condolences go to his wife Carol whom I had the pleasure of meeting on several occasions and to all his family.
