In the brief time that we knew each other at Chester University, he was a force to be reckoned with. He had passion, fortitude and stamina to hold out. He encouraged me to carry on and with his wit and attention to detail made my day a lot easier during the pandemic.  I have only just found out the news this morning, as I wondered why he wasn’t responding to emails.  He wanted to retire to Italy with his partner and I guess that’s all changed now. My thoughts now are with his partner and wish him the very best.  Very sad day. He will be greatly missed.
