I am writing on behalf of the staff and trustees at Living Streets and Living Streets Scotland to say how shocked and saddened we were to learn of Ian’s untimely death.   Ian was a great friend to the walking movement in general and to our charity in particular.  He was a champion of walking and his passionate advocacy which has shaped Scotland’s walking landscape leaves a lasting legacy and is a great tribute to his life’s work. 

We shall miss Ian greatly and would like to offer our sincere condolences to his family, colleagues and friends at this desperately sad time.
