As I’m writing this I’m still in absolute shock that James has been taken from his family, friends, our club, and the GAA far too soon! The tireless work James has done for the GAA and specifically for our club, Tir na nog, in the last number of years is unbelievable! He had a tireless energy and enthusiasm for both codes at all age levels, and believed that success started at u6s, developing the ‘Stars of the Future’ for Senior level! The work he did and commitment he had was evidenced by the fact that almost every child, no matter the age in our club know him!! Personally, the help and guidance he gave me since I started coaching has been immense, and the enjoyment he got from coaching, and helping people was infectious and was plain to see from the beaming smile! Like all club members, I will definitely miss him, it will be difficult and so strange going up to the club, and James not being there to have a yarn and a bit of craic with!! To Jim and Louise, your son will always be remembered and has influenced a huge number of people, through his career and coaching his beloved GAA and my sincere condolences to you and the family at this very difficult time!! Rest in peace James.
