Prof Paul Francis McMillan

I first found out about Paul’s Passing upon a request I had made for a reference. It is very saddening to think we had lost such a great contributor to Science and the Scientific community at UCL so abruptly. I as Paul’s PhD student shared some common interests, having studied at Edinburgh University, being a French speaker, and having a keenness for football as well as team camaraderie! Paul was highly respected by student and colleagues for his devotion to his team: his students and his colleagues in research. He was so enthusiastic and engaging in all the varying fields of science which he engaged with and that is what made him so unique and exceptional. I feel blessed to have worked with Paul and anyone else who will have worked closely with him will undoubtedly have found great inspiration in his ability to break boundaries into new fields of science.
