We give thanks for the life of Fr Stan, a friend who dedicated his entire life to the service of others and lived out his vocation despite the personal pain he suffered throughout most of hsi adult life. Stan was a very determined person with a great sense of justice blended with compassion and kindness. As a teacher in the junior seminaries of Tanzania and Uganda, Stan was an excellent science teacher and respected by all the students. Together we shared the roles of members of the Volunteer Missionary Movement and his love of community where with the White Fathers he found his vocation and with the Jesuits he found a valued role as a spiritual director loved by all who encounted him. Our great loss is eased by the knowledge he has found true peace.
