Frances Armstrong

Frances

Frances was incredibly kind, caring, funny, and intelligent, and someone who always brightened the lives of those who knew her.

It was a privilege to witness how talented, hardworking, and highly respected she was in her work as a Dietitian at Royal Blackburn Hospital.

Frances’s love of travel and the outdoors was infectious, she always had the most interesting, funny stories to share. She was also incredibly thoughtful, gifting and introducing things she thought others would enjoy such as Davids Tea, Turtles and Betty’s chocolate mice.

Frances took me to many wonderful hikes and trails around North Yorkshire. It is thanks to her that I have a deep appreciation and affection for the area. On one visit to Harlow Carr together, I will never forget the look of confusion and disbelief on the staff members face when she presented them with her Mums RHS membership pass and said I was a member of the family, even though I am Chinese…

I am very grateful to have known such a special person. She was such a bright light in world and she will be so deeply missed.

Thank you for your friendship Frances, it has been a great gift and privilege xx
