It was with such sadness that I learned of the death of our beloved Queen Elizabeth II. I have never known another sovereign, she has been a constant throughout my life, like the mother of our nation, so it will take some time for it to actually sink in. My thoughts and prayers are with all the Royal Family at this sad time, especially our new King Charles III. May he follow in her footsteps with the same dignity, compassion and humour always shown by his ‘darling mama’. The world has lost a remarkable woman but her legacy will live on. Rest in Peace Your Majesty now that you are reunited with your beloved husband.
