I am so very sad to hear of Antonella’s passing and my condolences go out to her friends, family, colleagues and students. I know Antonella from our days at UEA and I will always cherish her enthusiasm and help when we co-taught together. I’ll be eternally grateful for her help with babysitting and treats. Antonella was so very kind and so much fun to be around. She was passionate about film and thoughtful in supporting her students (and colleagues!). We spoke at length about film noir, femme fatales, Italian cooking shows, and classical Hollywood. She always invited me in to her excitement about research and it was wonderful to catch up at conferences and research seminars over the years. I will miss her.
