Dear Horia, Kara, Luka, Rodica, Liviu, Radu and Coca

I am so sorry for the loss of your beautiful wife, mum, daughter and sister, and of our very loved friend and colleague. It is a loss we all feel very deeply.

I also feel very lucky to have known Brandusa and, in the last year especially, to have got to know her so much better.  We shared many special times that I treasure.  I loved talking with Brandusa and learning about her, her life in Romania, its culture and history, and so much more.  Brandusa was extraordinary in so many ways: brave, clever, down-to-earth, funny, direct, thoughtful, kind, and very wise.  I am privileged that she shared so much of herself, and her rollercoaster journey, with me.  I will always hold her in my heart.

I hope it is a little comfort for you to know that throughout her journey Brandusa knew she was surrounded always by your love, which meant the world to her.
