Martin, I know we didn’t see eye to eye when we first met, but since then I got to know you as a smart, caring, funny and decent fellow that I’m proud to have called my friend. I’m so sorry for all you’ve been through in recent years, it’s been tough enough to watch it happen, I can’t even begin to imagine what it’s been like to experience it. You battled hard and although I’m sure you’d had plenty of horrendous times, you were still able to put a smile on your face and that, Martin, is the sign of a proper human! Strength and courage come in all forms and you showed the world you had both in spades. I truly hope you were not scared or in pain at the end and that you felt the love of your family and friends as you left us. You will be missed by many.
