Chris Stannard
I met Chris as a newly Chartered Surveyor whilst I was working for Cluttons, and Chris was CEO for Campden Charities. I learnt from other Surveyors that Chris had a fearsome reputation of being able to skilfully see through any time wasters or unpolished proposals. My early days were of caution and that Chris was a serious and intelligent person (way beyond my own levels) to deal with. However, as the years went by Chris’ dry humour crept in and a long and lasting friendship formed. Later years led to me starting my own business. Without hesitation Chris was the very first in providing to support my business and actively encouraging me to do well. I will never forget Chris’ unconditional and unwavering support for me, it is entirely unsurprising reading other messages of condolence that he extended that same honourable and thoughtful friendship to so many other people and helping the disadvantaged.
I still regularly think about Chris and our happy times will solidly remain alive in my memories – thank you for being the most genuine friend.
My sincerest of condolences to his family and colleagues.
