Stephen Tanswell

When I first met Steve I knew he was without doubt a perfect match for Jo – warm, funny, kind-hearted, outrageously inappropriate at times and no pushover.  I loved him from the start.

So many memories have him at the heart, one that sticks out is when he threw red wine all down the back of my wedding dress having not realised the barman had already removed the cork! And when I was heavily pregnant with Harriet and he told me not too worry I looked better a bit rounder in the face!

The skiing, the camping trips (where he took the piss out of the Manleys for not actually camping), the very long hikes we embarked on, they were all great adventures and always so much fun.

I will miss the bear hugs and the way he made everyone so welcome. I genuinely believe one of the reasons Rich settled so quickly to life in Manchester was because of Steve and those Wednesday night football matches.

His generosity of spirit will no doubt live on through Jo, Jacob, Oliver and Emily.

Steve we will miss you more than you will ever know but thank you for the good times.
