The news of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has touched me personally. Even if we all knew it was coming, the shock runs deep.

What a loss for the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth of Nations and the world. We will all sorely miss her incomparable charisma, sovereignty and exemplary role.
