Dearest Michaela, Your passing has left a huge vacuum for everyone you met and worked with. You were an inspiration and mentor – I remember how intimidated I was in our initial meetings when you were at the EBRD, with your sharp observations and questions, and how much I learnt from you over the past decade or so. i loved how driven you were to make a difference, to bring your best to your job even when you were going through so much, and your humour and wit. I just wish that wherever you are, you are smiling again. I feel priviledged to have known you.
