Stephen Tanswell

I’ve known Stephen since 1998 when he turned up at our halls of residence with the two George’s for a night out with Nic and the girls. Infact, I’m sure my introduction to Stephen Tanswell was him jumping straight on to my bed, bold as brass, gloating that he had somewhere to sleep that night! He was loud, charismatic, outrageously behaved, flirted with every woman and man in the student union and gave us the best time. We all fell in love with Stephen and he became like a brother to all us girls.

On my many stays at Westwood Road and nights out at Stretford Banqueting Suite, Stephen welcomed me like family. His cheeky jokes, dancing antics and general naughtiness always had me in fits of laughter. I can still hear Nic shouting ‘Stephen!’ trying (and failing) to keep him in line!

Stephen was the life and soul of every party, creating all the fun and bringing everyone together…mostly on the dance floor…whether they wanted to be there or not!

I have so many happy memories over the years and I’m utterly heartbroken for all the Tanswell’s and his many friends.

I hope as Jake, Oliver and Emily grow up they will learn what an impact their Daddy had on all our lives and will know how loved he was.

Stephen lived his life to the full and made the most of every minute.

and making memories.

We should all learn from him.

He was a superstar. I love him dearly and I will miss him always.
