I didn’t know Paul well, but I did consider him a friend. We worked together and often shared a few moments to talk. We talked about our families, his dog and he always bamboozled me with his technical knowledge, for which I often called on him for a helping hand. Nothing was ever too much trouble. He even helped my son with his computer in his spare time.

Paul talked about his illness at work and I always admired his positive outlook and chilled out demeanour. Paul’s positive words and advice will stay with me and I will always remember him with a smile. I am so pleased to have known him and I pass on my greatest sympathy to his beautiful family, all of which are a credit to him.

Rest in peace, Paul. I will raise my next glass to you.
